CYBER KID DATA: Pilot has been fully written.
Still a first draft. Still plenty more to workshop. But the first chapter of the story is officially on the page.
@zannisontwt Im talking vaguely, but I think Fujimoto was aware he could never serve a satisfying ending. So is this ending meant to be one last message? Like call back to when Makima wished she could remove all bad films and Denji tells her the imperfections are important.
@zannisontwt But isn't this the reaction the ending is supposed to entail? Dissatisfaction because it bridges the emotions between Denji and the readers? I think one thing I'd like to ask is, why? And is the story trying to answer whether or not Pochits was correct in choosing the life.
@freakonalaesh I think a very important character nobody brings up is Himeno. The mirror to Denji from the very first arc. I think it's interesting how she was someone who'd fallen and could've potentially been a warning to Denji, since now it seems he's following her path.
@freakonalaesh He had no friends at school. No one appreciate him, all except for Nayuta, the bit of control he had left. I think one of the most interesting, and complex parts about this narrative choice is figuring out whether we as the readers should be the country mouse or the city mouse.
