Catholic, wife, mom, ADHD science teacher, seamstress, beekeeper, #WVU alum and #Nationals fan, trying to make the world a little better one day at a time.
Southmoreland’s Jackson Mickens makes one of the BEST plays of the night, tipping a pass to himself at the line of scrimmage and returning it 32 yards to seal the game for the Scotties.
@GoldAndBlueZone 6 years of incompetence + 80 new players to the program. I like RR. OLine is weak. Need to start Fox at QB instead of Nico. Losing JWhite is going to hurt (hope the injury isn't too bad). Defense looks good at times, but didn't cap on 3ints.
It's been a minute since I've been on here. The last month have been a whirlwind of senior events, graduation, recitals, and family visits. It's been a huge month of blessings, but it has taken a toll. School is finishing up this week, and I'm looking forward to some quiet time.
A neighbor's sister after a long cancer battle, a co-worker's husband suddenly & unexpectedly, Pope Francis. 3 deaths. May they all be welcomed to the Eternal Light of God's presence, & those who remain remember that Jesus conquered death so that we may have everlasting life. ✝️
I'm glad spring is here. Even if there was snow on my car this morning. This semester has been absolutely brutal on me. Front-loading 2 full courses, on top of my regular classes, has been almost more than I can handle. Easter Holiday is next week and then just 6 weeks left.
Crowd sourcing some info for those in Educ... how does your school approach Artificial Intelligence? Chat GTP, Google Gemini, etc? Is it a banned thing? Is there a policy on use? Is it a teacher-by-teacher decision? #education
Parents, please teach your child that for every choice/action they make, there is a reaction/consequence. Hold them responsible for what they do or don't do. If you expect them to be productive adults, teach them how to be responsible children.
New families, moms and dads, needs support in their changing roles and balancing priorities. And it can't be led by the aged members of the parishes. #CatholicTwitter what do successful programs in your parish do well?
Read a post lamenting the departure of young Catholics from the Church. I may be missing the mark. I've learned that keeping fathers involved is key. Participation is key for what an individual gets and what is given to others (I don't think people are /1
willing to acknowledge that their contributions, even small ones, mean something to others). Teenagers need to see how they should use their faith in their community (not just told how). Young adults need a community to help find, foster, and promote healthy, Godly relationships
Getting rid of Latin isn’t progress, it’s surrendering to intellectual laziness. Studying Latin trains your mind to think logically, clearly, and precisely, something today’s world desperately lacks (as evidenced by much of what’s on social media). Why celebrate making future generations less equipped to reason?
