we can most likely say it was worth the investment as arcane is a worldwide sensation, but proving that with real numbers is pretty close to impossible.

i asked my animation prof about this exact question and their answer was quite interesting. ill be paraphrasing but essentially the price of arcane can be looked at two ways. cost for time of animation, and cost for expected return of investment. (1/4?)

so in conclusion, if you look at arcane's budget as cost per second of animation, its super cheap for the quality produced. but if you look at it as a cost for likely return on investment, its very expensive.
