2nd Amendment activist and YouTuber Luis Antonio Johnson was shot multiple times by Denver police just minutes after he shot another man during an apparent act of self-defense in downtown Denver. The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. on May 3, 2026, near the 16th Street Mall. Civilian footage recorded by the 27-year-old man who was shot appears to show him pursuing and threatening Johnson before Johnson opened fire.

Johnson then ran to the vestibule of his nearby apartment building while still holding his handgun. Officers responding to the original gunfire were directed toward him by witnesses who identified him as the shooter. Police bodycam footage shows officers repeatedly ordering Johnson to drop the gun. As he turned toward them, two officers fired nine rounds combined, striking him multiple times. Some viewers believe the weapon was pointed downward or being lowered when the shots were fired.

Both Johnson and the 27-year-old man survived.

Johnson was initially charged with felony assault, but the serious charge was reportedly reduced after investigators reviewed the civilian footage and circumstances surrounding the first shooting. The Denver District Attorney later determined the officers reasonably believed Johnson posed an immediate threat and cleared them of criminal wrongdoing. The case shows how quickly a person who may have legally defended himself can still be mistaken for the aggressor when police arrive.

odycam footage has been released of Miami deputies serving a warrant for Cristian Barata (25) who was suspected of distributing child pornography.

As the cops breached the door, women and children came out and Cristian's brother, Christopher (21), came out of his room with a Sig Sauer P365XL wearing a Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X & a Vortex Defender red dot optic at the low ready position.

Police opened fire on Christopher, killing him. Both brothers were TSA agents. FDLE is investigating the shooting incident which certainly isn't a black and white use of force like we normally see.

Christopher doesn't appear to raise his firearm before being shot and being armed in your house isn't a crime; especially in south Florida where criminals have a long history of breaking into homes whilst announcing "police or policia!!!"

But as attendees began packing up and leaving, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) launched a targeted sweep. ​Joseph was returning to his parked car when Deputy Kalmus (ID: 20186) detained him, claiming undercover officers filmed him "spectating" illegal street racing and takeover activity. ​

The Claims vs. The Evidence ​Zero Takeover Footage: Deputy Kalmus insisted undercover officers recorded Joseph spectating an illegal burnout or takeover. However, in subsequent FOIA and public records requests, no video evidence of any drag racing or street takeover from the event was ever provided. ​Refusal to Clarify: When asked on camera why attendees were being targeted for standing on public sidewalks near a legal event, Detective Kelsey Schultz (ID: 30545)—who appeared to be overseeing aspects of the operation—refused to explain the justification. ​The Spectator Standard: Under Florida Statute 316.191(1)(i), proving someone is an illegal "spectator" requires showing that their presence was the result of an affirmative choice to attend or participate in an actual street takeover or drag race.

​Legitimate Meetup vs. Illegal Takeover: Attending a daytime public car show at a commercial plaza does not automatically convert law-abiding enthusiasts into street racing co-conspirators. ​Constitutional Vagueness: Florida’s anti-takeover statute has historically faced legal challenges (such as State of Florida v. Wells) for vagueness and arbitrary enforcement, as it fails to give ordinary citizens clear guidance on where the line is drawn.

​The Reality of the System ​Filing Complaints: Joseph filed an official complaint with PBSO Internal Affairs regarding the detention and lack of evidence. Following an internal review, Sergeant Safford cleared the involved officers of any fault. ​

The Extortion Trap: With spectator citations carrying a ~$400 fine, many innocent attendees end up paying the ticket simply because fighting it in court—or funding a constitutional appeal—costs exponentially more than paying the bogus fee. ​
