Dearly beloved, Christ action is a fulfilment of the scripture, signifying his sovereignty over all things. We can see here that Judas is a betrayal, and he used his closeness to his Master to get him .

Christ was not caught by surprise, but he freely gave himself up as a sacrificial lamb.
A known place became a place of betrayal. Judas used his knowledge of association with Christ to betray him. He carried on a coordinated betrayal on Christ. It was well planned.

The Garden of Gethsemane is a known place to Jesus and his disciples, as it is a usual place of meeting and prayer. Which makes it easy for judas to locate him.
Christ knew about Judas plans but still sacrificed himself for Mankind.
