People say, “I don’t need to read fiction.” You absolutely do. The world is currently being run by rich, antisocial, amoral men who have never opened a book, and you need only look around to see the damage it’s caused. Empathy & curiosity are vanishing because people don’t read.

Today felt like the stars aligned. 🌟 Before I even knew about this event, Bijan was my #1 draft pick in fantasy football 😌… and today I got to witness him living out a much bigger mission off the field.
Thank you, Bijan, for inviting me to your book fair and letting me be part of something so impactful. The literacy gap in grades 1–3 is REAL….here in Atlanta and back home in Florida…and seeing 7,500 students from Atlanta Public Schools light up over the joy of reading reminded me why this work MATTERS. Each child walked away with three books to keep forever, and a message that reading can change their world.
At the end of the day, it’s about the kids. It’s about helping them fall in love with learning and reminding them to always be BRAVE, CURIOUS, and PERSISTENT (words the kids learned today!)
It’s bigger than us. It’s bigger than football. And I’m so grateful to have been part of it. 💙
