Real question from a real follower
Have you ever noticed the biggest fitness and strength influencers as popular as they are could never get hired by a top tier company or team?
Why is that?

@raddaddy78 Just compound lifts. Beginners 1 per session and my most advanced programming and what I do for myself is 3 compound low rep exercises per session

Debate: do straps ruin your grip?
Plenty of lifters, powerlifters especially, won't touch straps. They say it kills your grip. Those same people also use hook grip

Hypertrophy studies, and the way they are being presented is very misleading IMO to see my full break down including the lists of studies and stats on my opinion comment “study” I’ll send the link for you to read yourself.
I feel like when I see people making this statement, it’s always in defense of high rep sets. People are terrified that what has been believed and championed for decades might actually be inferior
Many use the statement that both high and low rep sets produce “similar” hypertrophy. Define similar…. The word itself seems a little misleading. What’s similar to me might not be similar to the next person. In fact when I dug in the low rep sets often had a slight edge, which I point out in my full video. I’ll send the link to that if you comment “Study”
For any study, no matter the subject. There is no “proof”. If you see someone saying there’s “proof” of xyz, that to me is a red flag. There is “evidence” not proof. And the evidence is only specific to the timeline of the study. It would be incorrect to assume results in a 8 week study would remain the same at the 3 year mark.
You will see in my breakdown, I layout participant types being an issue for me. You’ll also see I point out the amount of studies using single joint exercises. Not all of them, but a significant amount. I would never use the low rep set models on single joint exercises, why use them in a study?
Maybe the biggest issue is the mainstream opinion on hypertrophy is so far wrong that people have to protect them with poorly designed studies and good old fashioned gaslighting.
Before you say, oh I’m just selling low rep set programs. Yes I sell what I believe in, and I also understand people have preferences so I sell high rep sets as well. But in my personal pursuit, I’m a major believer in low rep sets
Stop training to failure. Watch the bar instead.
Training until you can't do another rep is too far. My definition of failure is different: it's the moment bar speed starts to slow.
