I won't have someone look at me and tell me I can't be a fan of something because my interactions don't align with your ideals. This is similar energy to calling someone a fake fan if they can't list X amount of it.

Plenty of people enjoy watching sports without playing them, watching movies/plays without being actors, so how can I not be a fan of a game by primarily watching it and witness someone else play it but still get the benefit of the story?

@MortalXpert @7minus1 @Woodlandbuckle So then I can enjoy the story and the immersion by vicariously experiencing it through someone else playing it or watching/reading the lore. Not that hard of a concept. I love Halo's story and FPSs, but not RTSs. So I dont play Halo Wars but still experience its story.

Im not a fan of the old school tank controls and do not enjoy playing horror games. But I can enjoy the story that goes along with it.

@7minus1 @Woodlandbuckle Facts. I love the Resident Evil franchise but don't play the games. I watch others play them and read the stories. You can enjoy a series lore/story but not enjoy the gameplay or style. I don't play horror games but enjoy the story.
