@citizencope I haven’t listened to the songs you named in this video, but just hearing you mention their names immediately transports me to that time of ny life, and all of the things I was going through.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@BiggestBarry @MaxGlazer Same. You’re hearing things. It’s Casbah inst with some toasting.

Read @OsseChi's op-ed on the need to stop deed theft and enact a temporary eviction moratorium to prevent Black families from having their homes stolen: https://t.co/1WNMielt9u

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

Kid Rock lookin’ like Marge Simpson

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@bgtennisnation You might want to sit this one out. Your grandparents would’ve said the same thing about the music you’d prefer. Culture evolves. That performance was fantastic, and it will go down as a widely loved and historic moment.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@BiggestBarry Story is so classic. Real LOL.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

How the f I never hear this? 😭😭😭

[BiggestBlackestBarry @BiggestBarry]

The greatest compliment I mistakenly got in life was when Prince said he really dug my work.
Me and Sly were at an event with him and he thought I was Sly. The music was loud and he got the introduction wrong.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

Sly Dunbar, a singular titan

[BiggestBlackestBarry @BiggestBarry]

If Sly did nothing else but produce and play on the Ini and Black Uhuru albums, he would still be a legend.
And he played on 10s of 1000s of songs. Many many uncredited.

Legends

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

This description of Black Uhuru is beautiful. Seeing them for the first time as a young teen, of course with Sly & Robbie, permanently shifted something in my psyche.

[BiggestBlackestBarry @BiggestBarry]

Sly mek mi start meds music deep again.
Ive never really found words to describe Puma Jones harmonies until now.
She sounded like a sorrowful disappointed angel sent by God to determine whether humanity could be saved.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@BiggestBarry Maybe The World. Def not Palladium.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@jsmooth995 @RobMarkman Unsure but watch me hear it randomly next week when I dive into this archive.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@jsmooth995 @RobMarkman I prefer the other side but both are ill.

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@jsmooth995 @RobMarkman They go back even earlier to 88 with Deuces Wild, their single produced by an uncredited Mark the 45 King. https://t.co/9BksRfvmQb

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@farhip @RadioFreeTom Fake opinions. 😂

[Stretch Armstrong @StretchArmy]

@BiggestBarry Will you be joining the platform?

[Norman Ornstein @NormOrnstein]

CNN soils itself daily by showcasing this bloviating monster

[Adam Carlson @admcrlsn]

Man who genuinely loves his city & its people

vs.

Man who’s crashing in his daughter’s apartment in midtown because he doesn’t actually live in NYC & is just planning on using the position of mayor as a platform to go on a revenge tour against everyone who crossed him in 2021

[Erin Overbey @erinoverbey]

holy shit. Cuomo halted an investigation into the Weinstein case after a donation from Weinstein’s former lawyer’s firm to his reelection campaign…

guys, this was in 2018 AFTER the Weinstein exposés (multiple) had been published & the #metoo movement was ascendant
