@Messifangirl99 I like that. Could also see in tight 2nd leg matches going with Rodri at the 6 with 2 8s. Frenkie & Pedri with Pedri being more of a free 8 getting more advanced. Would give us more security. But yeah standard 3 Rodri, Pedri, Fermin/Olmo is tough to beat!

@UTDTrey Honestly a really good young core, I think Mainoo & Baleba could be a good partnership for the future.

But let’s not kid ourselves, they wouldn’t be able to get near the ball against Barca’s midfield!

@CruyffsRegen Lamine will restore the aura of the Ballon Dor. Sounds cheesy but I think it’s true, the sport needs players like him and so does the ballon dor

@plebeantribune Exactly! So many times Olmo does all the hard work only to bottle the shot or final pass. I really think he could put it all together this season though.

@RoodMurat I could definitely see that. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Rodri, Pedri, & Frenkie though. Especially in the second leg of a game where we need a bit more solidity & control.

This whole situation has been insane! Atletico’s insecurity and false pride has created all of this! A club who WISHES they were bigger than they are, refusing to sell a player to a BIGGER club because they don’t want to admit they are lesser.
And after all of this it’s only ended in self sabotage! Now they have a player who doesn’t want to be there, fans who don’t want the player there, the players agent openly calling the board liars, just drama on drama before the season even starts!
Stubbornness & insecurity, what else would you expect from a club like Atletico!

Has to be mental. Ik the second half of last season Milan as a whole fell off, look at Pulisic. He was their best player and one of the top scorers until January when he fell off and didn’t score again. I think he’s a player who lost confidence. Such an interesting situation, he has the ability to be legitimately great but has rarely showed it.
