@mike_harrison @billjamesonline Veale up in ‘62, age 26. His 18-win season was at age 28, and downhill from there. Sam McDowell came up at 19 in ‘61 (1 G)again in ‘62 (25 G), 63 (14G), before coming up to stay in May ‘64 (31)G. In’65 he led the AL in ERA 2.18, ERA+ 161, SO 325, BB 132, WP 17, ERA.
