Pakistan is standing on the verge of a massive e-Bikes revolution: 🧵🏍️

In 2025, over 2 million e-Bikes were sold in Pakistan, a 40% spike from 2024 which also saw record sales.

In the first quarter of 2026, more than a million e-Bikes have already been sold across Pakistan and the numbers are going up continuously.

Why is it happening?

With the fuel prices increasing in the country, people are choosing to go for e-Bikes as it provides cheaper rides.

While petrol bikes cost around 10 Rs per kilometer, e-Bikes' running cost is around Rs. 1 per KM. That is a game changer for Pakistani commuters.

Over 16 million households in Pakistan have rooftop solar panels, so running cost of e-Bikes gets even more less with the use of solar-power.

Pakistani govt, specially in Pakistan's Punjab region, is promoting e-Bikes by giving subsidies and incentives.

According to a research, within next five years, electric bikes are expected to capture around 70% of two-wheeler market in Pakistan.

As more and more companies enter in the EV market, Pakistan is set to get even more e-Bikes on the roads.

إيران حاولت خنق اقتصاد دول الخليج، ظنًاً منها أن إغلاق مضيق هرمز أو تهديد الملاحة سيُجبر أمريكا على وقف الحرب ويُرغم الخليج على الاستسلام الاقتصادي.

فماذا كانت النتيجة؟

أمريكا حاصرتها بحراً وجواً واقتصادياً، وخنقت صادراتها النفطية حتى امتلأت خزاناتها عن آخرها!

اليوم إيران تجلس على بحر من النفط لا تستطيع بيعه، وخزاناتها ممتلئة إلى درجة تهدد البنية التحتية والسلامة، ومواردها المالية تتآكل يومًا بعد يوم.

الدرس الذي لم تتعلمه طهران بعد:

من يحاول حرق جيرانه بالنار، يحترق هو أولاً.

الاقتصاد ليس لعبة يمكن فيها كسب الرهان بالتهديد فقط. الدول التي بنت اقتصادها على الاستقرار والشراكات هي من انتصرت، بينما من اختار سياسة "التوتر الدائم" يدفع الثمن غاليًا.

The outcome of the talks in Islamabad could affect the stability of the Middle East, global energy security, and even the safety of millions of Indians who live and work in the Gulf countries.

These talks, if succeed, will essentially save the world from the brink of an economic disaster. It is actually good for India. It is good for the Gulf countries, good for the Middle East, and good for the world.

But Indian media is treating it almost like a cricket match between India and Pakistan. Every development is seen and discussed only through the lense of IndiaPak rivalry. They seem to be almost gloating over the prospect of its failure.

India’s foreign policy success should come from India’s own strength and diplomacy, not from celebrating Pakistan’s failure. Can’t we do it at least in this case??
