I remember as a kid we had an older postwoman. When she delivered our mail she'd sometimes bring us treats, and during Christmas she'd give me and my siblings little personalized Christmas ornaments. Super sweet lady. At the time I figured that's just how postmen were - but when she retired, I remember having the realization that she was special.
I don't personally believe in generations, at least in the sense that some have a higher moral standard then others. I think Boomers responded to their post WWII economic world in the same way anyone would. The dirty part was when Nixon closed the gates to that old world.
Most of the Boomers will have died off by the time Millennials/Gen Z have fully come to power and we'll be left as the ones who have to answer when the younger generations ask "why?". Unfortunately, we'll just be remembered as the generation that blamed the dead (whether rightfully or not.)
Millennials will be up for power before Gen Z, and I don't see them making an extra effort/sacrifice to help us out either. Their parents are the boomers, and although millennials will side with Gen Z on many issues, people tend to become their parents. They've largely inherited the same mentalities as boomers.
I will say though, I personally believe the boomer-hatred is somewhat of a psyop to make younger generations turn their hate(energy) from the specific people/policies/government that have created this broken modern world, to just "The Boomers™". Similar to blaming Israel for all our problems. While there are obvious issues with israel's influence, it's clear that it's gotten to the point where every single problem/tragedy/inconvenience has become "Israel did this!" I can't help but see the pattern where Boomers are similarly being thrown into this category of "Every problem is (blank)'s fault." Just another undefined villain for slop merchants to rage-profit off of.
Obviously there are bad Boomers. But I don't see them as being special from bad members of other generations. (Other than being more stubborn, which is more a result of ageing imo)
I know it's not much of a solution, but I feel the only way out is to just lock-in, because no one is coming to save you. I know we're at a disadvantage, but personally, knowing everything is stacked against me has always made me want to win even more. Perhaps I'm somewhat masochistic, who knows.
Our only vengeance on boomers we'll have is most likely going to be our love for our own descendants, but if we're this bitter and defeated now, I don't see us having much to give when we're older.
Sorry if this response is kind of long/messy. I've been thinking about this topic a lot in the back of my mind, and your post inspired me to write where I am with my thinking.
@right_inthe_mid Honestly, watching youtube fitness channels is a pretty decent free way to learn a lot about muscles and general anatomy. Although, you might have to dig your way through all the drama/gay slop to find anything informative now.
