"Sweet, I can skip the straining part then."
She let the blender do its job once the dairy and ice were thrown in.
"So, what decade are you from to call this nostalgic?"
โNot at all.โ
He pulls his phone up as he waits. He got FREQUENT text messages from his roadies, which he told them he was fine. Just getting a meal.
He then looks around. he grins as he takes a pic of the stores emblem. Thatโs gonna be for later.. may as well give her some rep
"That's what they all say~ Think I'll need a bigger location soon."
She jokes, tossing in fruit into the blender now that they were freshly chopped.
"Do you mind pulp?"
He chuckles at that last bit and shrugs.
โYeaaaaaโฆ. Need a break from alcoholโฆ โ
Least to say? He was impressed..
โMight have to recommend this place to my peepsโฆ I bet theyโll love it.โ
"Ah, well, this was the Sizzlin' Ox Diner in the 2000s and before that. I took over in the 2010s. First extermination got the oldies."
She moved along, still behind the bar as she got started on his drink. She grinned, looking over her shoulder.
Shred fixes his bandana as he nods his head.
โNice to meet yaโฆ Call me Shred.โ
Hmmโฆ the name would sound familiarโฆ does itโฆ? He sits patiently.
โSoโฆ when did you make this nice slice of heavenly goods eh? Reminds me of the good daysโฆโ
He did love the decor.. +
She would never deny cash from someone that put it out so confidently. She counts out what the cost is, then hands it to Jerry before putting the extra in the tip jar.
"Sweet Kakes, with a K. Buuuut everyone just sticks to Kake here. Congratulations! You've met the owner."
He thinksโฆ He then sets down a wad of cash. It was probably more than whatever he was ordering but he winks and grins.
โIโll have a smoothie and all thatโฆ. Keep the change tooโฆโ
Goddamn. he then leans back in his stool a tad, stretching.
โโฆ got a name, Miss..?โ
"Well, we got plenty of soda pop and everything ya need for a shake. Could make you a soda float, a malt milkshake, a plain milkshake, a dessert special one...
Maybe a smoothie, if you're feeling more fruity than creamy."
She shrugged, lowering her hands after counting options.
Shred thinks about that.
โโฆ something sweetโฆ andโฆ maybe a beverageโฆ? What do you guys gotโฆ?โ
He needs to stop drinking alcohol for a bit anywaysโฆ
"I could recommend a few things if I know your tastes. Would you like something savory or sweet? I can supply either, though both have different follow-ups for flavors."
She hummed, looking through what they already prepped ahead of time in the display next to the bar top.
He looks around some more then looks to Kakeโฆ very interesting looking sinner.
He approaches and smiles.
โSure isโฆ ya got a cozy lil spot here,Miss.โ he says. Shred takes a seat at one of the stools and leans his head into his hand.
โGot any recommendationsโฆ?โ
"Hello, is this your first time at the Kake N' Shake?"
Mostly asking since he didn't look like one of her regulars at least, and it was during a relatively low part of the day currently. Lunch rush wasn't something her shop usually got affected by.
Ears twitching at the sound of the bell chiming up front, Kake moved to standup straight behind the display case. She had been in the midst of restocking the selection of fruity macarons while Jerry was running register.
She stood by at the ready, smiling at the new customer.
The place.. he looks around and was reminded of his time when he was aliveโฆ
โโฆ. Damnโฆ this place is gnarlyโฆโ he mumbles to himself, adjusting his bandana as he approaches the counter.
"A little here, a little there! And chatting with the truck company about continuing usage of their services for what snack cakes I send out to be sold in other storefronts."
"I haven't questioned things for a long while, but I do wonder why Alastor stops in occasionally when he doesn't care for sweets.
I don't even serve that much meat here since the change from diner to bakery."
"... So, given all the holidays there are in winter--- I may have been slammed for the past month.
But also hi hello I'm aliiiiiiiive. So is my brother. He just passed out in the booth over there."
