What I learned below. 🧵👇
10 SOL challenge day 151:
925.92/1000
As SOL pulls back, I'm trading less noise and focusing on quality setups.
The temptation to force trades and new pairs in a slow market is always there, but keeping that under control is part of the process.
The opportunities to press size have been there as well. I've left some on the table; improving my execution when they appear is the next step.
Stay consistent and protect your port.
Soon.
10 SOL challenge update:
day 143: 874.06/1000 SOL
My progress has been moving upward, but not as much as I know I'm capable of. I've gotten too comfortable and taken too many days off. I used this recent holiday to reset.
Let's get back to work.
It's time to hit the mental lab.
I had $250k unrealized gains at 17/18 and fumbled it.
I worked at a coffee shop and saved 90% of my money since age 15. Found crypto & NFT's in 2020. Used a parents account to purchase some crypto, got extremely lucky picking out early alts and NFTs and held through the top and back to the bottom. Shoutout Degods.
Thankfully, there's always lessons to be learned.
In Crypto, experience is everything and it's been a hell of a good time.
Since then, I've worked on overcoming addiction and sharpening my skills to adapt to the next niche in crypto to ensure I can stay consistent in the industry full-time rather than worry about swings in high-risk assets.
The climb back has been slow, but the journey/experience was worth it.
One thing to note, is that in Crypto it's way too easy to get desensitized to the value of money.
Whether it's how you trade, how you spend IRL, etc.
What works for me is buying myself something nice;
Enjoying it, and realizing the potential money has to offer in the real world.
I know some traders who keep the value of Solana in cash bills on their desk to have a constant reminder of it's value.
At the end of the day, most of us are still young.
We have a lot of time.
Next cycle will be genny.
Survival is key.
Godspeed.
Bit late but #UFC328 was a movie.
The boys and I saw the vision.
1000 SOL trading challenge update coming soon.
(getting close)
Implementing new supplements to curb my hangovers after long weekends out. Need to be more locked when i'm scanning to ensure I make the most out of the volume.
Goodluck out there,
godspeed. 💫
As you guys may know, I enjoy using my X as a trading journal. Not only for educational purposes but also for my own self improvement.
When the market was slow (last week(s)) I’ve seen / noticed people struggling , it’s difficult to trade without dev’ing / bundling when everyone is out to get you.
You’re competing against devs, bundles, farmers, larps, ex-pro video game players and discord fnf groups but you have to stay as disciplined as possible.
Throughout that time, newpairs have been difficult, yet I still decide to play with them because they offer the best ROI, my issue however is that when I buy one, and the dev has a significant bundle, nobody seems to want to buy a dip on a good/half decent narrative so I’m stuck holding to a 50% loss which can be costly over time / repeatedly.
Another issue, is that a cereal deployer would prefer to nuke their supply at 10k and kill a good narrative that would have otherwise ran.
Best practice is to get better at spotting bundles , stay disciplined when buying coins. Look for entries, and know when volume is on your side. If volume is slow, even good coins don’t have the ability to gain any traction .
Wait for the best narratives of the day.
Try and catch an early entry.
Take your profits and enjoy.
Psychology is incredibly important.
Most times, more important than taking trades themselves.
Fast forward to this week and volume has been great! During this kind of volume, it’s easy to make a lot of money and lose a lot of money rather quickly.
If you miss the main runners of the day, it’s easy to tilt into over sizing on cope plays (and get drilled by the same bundles that are always out to get you).
Always be aware of your actions at all times. Don’t fall for the traps.
This is something I’m still working on, but I know it’s only a matter of time until I can manoeuvre through all conditions.
Nonetheless, I’m happy with outperforming a traditional job for yet another month.
Wishing everyone a prosperous May.
Godspeed.
10 SOL challenge day 114:
783.76/1000
Enjoying life outside the charts: sports, friends, staying active, eating clean.
Still on pace to pull $10k+ months online with full freedom. Logged in yesterday, caught a clean move from new pair → 50k, hit top trader, logged off. No need to battle for 8-10 more hours.
In this market, even with days off, $1k/day is very doable. Discipline > overtrading. Sometimes no trade is the best trade.
However, I will say that days are much better when fresh narratives come along. Those are the days to grind.
Keeping it simple. 2 wallets, no devs.
Looking forward to completing this challenge and posting a thread explaining how I've done it along with doing a few giveaways.
Consistency is a low cortisol lifestyle.
The Masters never fails to disappoint.
Good golf, cold beers, great vibes.
Solid UFC card too.
Managed to swing a few trades for profit as on-chain heals.
You can fake discipline in your head.
You can tell yourself you have a plan.
You can convince yourself you're being patient.
The market doesn't care.
It reveals everything.
Every weak entry.
Every emotional decision.
Every moment you ignore your own rules.
There is no hiding here.
Most times, results are a reflection of behavior.
Which is why I highly recommend journaling.
The game is about control.
Hoping everyone had a Happy Easter. 🪺
Woke up late and hungover for Memescope Monday but made $550 trading and hit some parlays for UFC on Saturday. (I was due)
looking forward to the next few PPV's.
I don't share my UFC parlays because they tend to be hit or miss. I typically martingale the main card.
Glory to god, always.
How I made $662 on Ye's new "Bully" album in 10 minutes.
Shoutout comms from Chud FNF.
PS: We did discuss the 23% dev and figured the play would be worth the risk because people would have bought the dev sell.
If you have a low port, avoid this type of risk.
Always scan for bundles.
10 SOL challenge day 101:
713.92/1000
After being away for most of the month I had a pretty consistent week of ~$1k+ days asides from Tuesday where I broke my rules and turned profits into loses.
I seem to always have a few significant losing days per month which always humbles me and reminds me of valuable lessons. It gives me time to reflect at night and chin up onto the next day; my key takeaway each time is to not "revenge blast" into the next coin that has volume when the market begins to die down on the day. Sometimes easier said than done.
I'm greatly better off stepping away for the day and returning when the volume is hot during peak NA hours.
My trading strategy has revolved around this time-zone lately. Seeing as we aren't in bull-market conditions, I prefer to have a regular schedule where I log on to catch prime daily volume > make my profit > and log off in order to not give it back later on.
The remainder of the day can be used elsewhere such as gym, recreation, friends, etc. (without losing an edge in the market)
Despite not being on very much this month and not achieving as much as I would hope to on-chain, I'm not concerned with taking time-off at this point of the cycle.
It's better to spend time with family and friends now rather than when the bull cycle returns, easy mode flicks on and no sleep season begins.
Stay true to yourself and trust that things will work out, even if you don't see it yet. God will reward you.
I always preach this.
The pursuit of more is part of human nature. However, it's important to be grateful for how far you've come.
Never forget where you came from.
If so, the universe can be quick to take it away from you.
I remember selling fortnite pfp's on instagram for $1 as a teenager and working night shifts for minimum wage.
The opportunity to make $500-thousands in a day is still incredible in this market, despite what you see on the TL.
chin up, stay focused.
The world is yours. 🌎
day 95: +22.57 SOL
667.80/1000
hardly took any trades today but found my rhythm when volume arrived.
away from the setup for about a week again, hoping I don't come back washed this time.
stay sharp out there. 💫
