SPEED RACER is one of the very few movies i'd say is genuinely one of a kind. it's not just ahead of its time- there may never be a time that we get another movie like it. it's a true cinematic unicorn and we're lucky to have it.
Possibly my favourite sequence narratively in the film, racing the ghost of his brother, while simultaneously setting up that emotional weight through seamless flashbacks, and then keeping his brother alive by sacrificing his own personal record, its so beautiful
Sorry media, u don’t get to control the narrative anymore of who Michael Jackson truly was. The public gets to watch this movie…they will decide for themselves.
And you can’t handle that.
People need to be reminded how Rotten Tomatoes works - You either enjoyed the movie or didn't. And you enjoyed it. But clearly the majority did not.
Critics are burnt out on musical biopics, and I don't blame them. It's not that deep
We’ve legit lost the plot. I honestly have zero idea what people are looking for these days but there needs to be a major shift in criticism. The movie I saw was well written, well directed, beautifully shot, insanely well performed and the sound was amazing. Are we “film” critics or not. We’re supposed to help paint the picture of what an audience can anticipate and this score is not even close to that picture, objectively.
Sydney Sweeney has been cut from ‘THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2’.
She was originally meant to appear as herself in the film.

Following the debut of an AI-generated Val Kilmer in a new film, the question of AI performances potentially competing for awards in the future is being discussed in Hollywood.
Answers within the industry go from “possibly” to “probably not,” and “we are still working on it.”

Charlize Theron says "in 10 years," AI will be able to do Timothée Chalamet’s job as an actor, but it will never be able to replace live performance like ballet:
“Oh, boy, I hope I run into him one day. That was a very reckless comment on an art form, two art forms, that we need to lift up constantly because, yes, they do have a hard time. But in 10 years, AI is going to be able to do Timothée’s job, but it will not be able to replace a person on a stage dancing live.”
