Here's my Commended shot, "Lepe Lightning" from this years LPOTY. I thought I'd also include the out of camera shot for comparison. There's a few things I'm not happy about, that I realised after submitting, the horizon touching the roof being the main one.
Went up "The Lookout" in the City yesterday. Great views, crap for photography. They let you take tripods up, but the Windows have an the outer pane of glass over 6 inches away from the first. Impossible to get rid of internal light reflections even with lens skirts etc.
Currently staying in Keswick for the week and one thing I’ve noticed… what’s up with all the dog sh*t on the streets?? Walking in to the centre from our holiday let and we’re having to dodge loads of the stuff….
Cumbrian Layers - I popped up to the lakes last weekend for a brief walking holiday with the lads, photography wasn't really the aim, it was more about getting some time away from things for a few days. Still, I managed to blag this shot from Hardknott Fort at sunset.
Off up to the Lakes tomorrow for some walks (and beer in the Crafty Baa) with some mates... just debating whether I stick my running gear in and have a bash at Keswick parkrun on Saturday....it could do with a wash as it currently stinks....
Right, just back from watching Gladiator 2.
What we need, is somone to sort out some kind of Intervention for Ridley Scot, so that’s he’s forced to stop making films.
I can see that on the RF mount they've made one of the 3 lugs longer than the other 2, which is why there's an issue as there's only 1 gap for it to fit , compared to the EF mount where there were 3 gaps. There is a line-up point on the cap to aid you but it's very faint.
Right, if anyone is looking for sensor swabs I can heartily recommend these on Amazon

£12.99 for 20 and they come with fluid. I could say they're the most amazing swabs ever, but honestly, they're just swabs. They work and they're cheap. That's all!
@JamesRBurns2 It’s utterly diabolical… I’m not sure how it ever got past testing… It’s almost impossible to put one on one handed like you can with the old EF end caps.
Popped to Corfe Castle with my wife this morning to catch sunrise... stats looked promising for mist around the castle but it was bit too windy on the south side of the ridgeway, so all of the mist was over Poole harbour... ended up taking this from the top of West Hill
I have to say, I'm quite impressed with the updated AI removal tool in the new version of Lightroom. It actually works and is pretty fast from my initial play! Got a 2 day skate competition this weekend so that should be a good test on the rest of the update!
