@FootballCliches When Sky etc show Premier League football and a player gets booked or on team line ups the player's national flag is shown next to their name. Why don't we do the reverse in international football - show the player's club crest next to their name during international games?

@FootballCliches It's probably more for MHD, but with all the money UEFA have, surely they can get the UEFA foundation patches on the arms of tops to stay on a whole game! Too often this tournament they are half-on and half-off flapping about. It's very annoying and distracting.

@FootballCliches @CDEccleshare @D_C_W RE: camera changing stands. This happens at Hampden. For most games (i.e. Scotland male internationals) the camera is in the main stand (behind the dugouts). But for games with a lower crowd (i.e. womens internationals) the camera is in the opposite stand (facing dugouts).

@FootballCliches Your discussion on Tuesday about managers got me thinking about the term "Shrewd Operator". It typically refers to a managers but has also been used for players and increasingly for sporting directors. What are the differences between expectations for the different roles

@FootballCliches Why are players described as "working" their way back from an offside position when they are usually just ambling. We also talk about "working" a chance or shot. Are there any other forms of "working" a footballer can do.
