You think it looks bleak for me right now? Oh I survive this. But I can't guarantee my neighbours will.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

As a massive fan of both Coronation Street and Doctor Who I've compiled a list of over 500 actors who appeared in both shows. So, for my own reference, I'm slowly going to put them all in this thread, ordered chronologically (ish) by when they first appeared in Corrie. #CorrieDW

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Idk why Corrie decided to kill off Norris in the middle of social distancing, rewatching those scenes is so incredibly awkward beca everyone is just standing miles apart.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Just thinking about Gary being unjustly sent to prison whilst Sarah gets off scott free and then remembered he is responsible for the factory roof collapse and the 2019 Christmas shooting stuff, so maybe he does deserve some time in prison even if it's for the wrong thing.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

I hope there will be overlap with Owen Armstrong and the stuff that's going on with Ross. They're both heavily masculine gruff older men and it would be interesting for Corrie to demonstrate the toxic masculinity that Ross is displaying by using Owen as a positive alternative

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

@THEJohnMcNee Yeah that sounds about right from the vauge thought idea I have of him in my head.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Well an Owen Armstrong return is not something I was ever expecting, nor do I have anything to say about him as a character, but what the hell, I'm down.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

I am incredibly sad to see she has passed and yet I am relieved to know that she didn't die without notice, sincerely RIP to her.

Unfortunately it seems Eileen Mayers, who played Coronation Street's Sheila Birtles/Crossley has now passed away. Her name is listed in the latest Equity magazine and a corresponding obituary is found online in The Times stating her death as June 27th 2026, having died aged 94.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

I'm trying to do some research into Eileen Mayers (Corrie's Sheila Birtles), but there's so little information known about her and half of it is contradictory. I hope she is still with us, but she hasn't been heard from in over a decade.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

@Dee_Cee95x I am really enjoying it, but not loving it, which is how I'd describe the other series. I don't think the format has gone stale but we have seen this 5 times before and things are slightly more predictable and exciting as a result.

Interesting that the new ITVX Classic Corrie channel is showing episodes after the current ITV3 run, currently being streamed is a 2012 episode. It makes me wonder at what point ITV3 will stop. I always assumed they'd reset after the tram crash but now I'm second guessing myself.

Corey Brent jumpscare in the new Marvel Vision show.

Catching up on Classic Corrie and I am being very happily reminded how much I love Natasha Blakeman.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

The fact that the S*n is reporting that Corrie's Megan and Theo are supposedly seeing each other irl. 😐

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Trying to figure out when next week I go and see the UK soap adaptation of Silence of the Lambs.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

@jack_scarbs66 @Chuttnise 🤣

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Yeah... erm.... about that.... maybe not

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Just remembered that Diggory Compton is Jack Webster's grandfather and burst out laughing. From this point onwards I'm going to campaign for Corrie to bring back grandad Diggory just for the sake of it.

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

@mikesbaldwins Absolutely amazing even better than my, already through the roof, expectations, and for such a small venue too!!

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

Just got back from seeing Corrie's Jerry Morton as Mr. Mushnick and Eastenders' Tiffany Butcher as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors.

Star wars fans after Andor ended

[Stuart Beck @StuartBeckMP]

I don't even know where to start with the end of today's Corrie. What tf is going on?

[Coronation Street @itvcorrie]

In her two years on the cobbles, Stephanie created an indelible, perfectly-drawn character in the best tradition of strong Coronation Street women. She was a joy to write for and to watch, and news of her passing is deeply sad. ❤️
