@MartinSLewis Offset mortgages should be reintroduced as people can hold their "rainy day savings" accessible but offsetting mortgage interest as typically the interest rate is higher on mortgage than easy access savings. Can you push the industry to bring back this mortgage type please?

@MartinSLewis Martin, all good points. Cleared my first mortgage in 15yrs via offset and overpayment, then second mortgage in 11yrs via overpayment to permitted annual 10%, and balance from savings once out of fixed term in January 2023.

Built in Britain at Filton, the very last Concorde to roll off the production line took its final flight 20 years ago today.

Not only was this the last flight of G-BOAF, it was also the last time a Concorde would take to the skies.

Alpha Foxtrot left Heathrow on November 26th, 2003, with around 100 British Airways staff onboard.

The aircraft headed out over the Bay of Biscay before descending towards Bristol. Here, she performed a lap of honour over the city and neighbouring districts, including Clifton Suspension Bridge, before landing at Filton.

🚨NEW FACILITY: Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has opened a new £250 MILLION electric vehicle testing facility at its Whitley Engineering Centre in Coventry as part of a wider £15 billion investment programme.

The new 323,000 sq ft Future Energy Lab will host more than £40 million of technological innovations to enable the rapid testing of EVs, including electric test rigs, Electric Drive Unit (EDU) manufacturing and electric vehicle systems test cells.

The vast facility will significantly increase JLR’s test and development capacity as Britain's biggest carmaker prepares to launch nine pure electric luxury models by 2030. More than 200 engineers are already working at the facility, and a further 150 roles will be created. #UKmfg

@HMRCgovuk It would be helpful if we could email you on changes to professional bodies listed as acceptable for professional fees in self-assessment. I could not find a way to address this online, I hence called but was then advised that I need to write by Royal Mail... this is C21st!
