Many thanks to the MPs and sport and recreation stakeholders who attended our Parliamentary roundtable yesterday on how we capitalise on another summer of women's sport to get women and girls active.
Particular thanks to our chair @ToniaAntoniazzi and to Olympian Tess Howard
@AggersCricket@bbctms I am a cricket fan. I don't care about the over-rates save and except for the way they are dominating your broadcast of this box-office test match. Sell the game, change the record.
@AbdiDuale_ Agree. It's pathetic how people have trawled speeches to find a couple of similar lines.
Keir is being incredibly straightforward and stating a viewpoint that is shared by most people. There's nothing Labour about an open borders migration policy.
Ed Conway is such a good commentator on the economic picture.
"Nothing like 2022" is his analysis. This is really worth a watch.
Key aspect is that the cost of our borrowing has to be compared to our competitors. In 2022 it rocketed relative to them. This time it's very similar.
🚨How worried should @RachelReevesMP be about rising bond yields?
😨How worried should the rest of us be?
😱And is this a repeat of 2022 (or even worse)?
After all, UK 30yr govt bond yields are now at the HIGHEST level in more than a quarter century.

@RowennaDavis@theLDNstandard Well done for highlighting Rowenna. This council is sitting on assets worth £Ms that are going unused. Seriously think communities would step up to run many of them or keep them open for longer hours.
@NwaforTamar@CroydonLabour@yourcroydon@UKLabour Tamara, very well done for your activism on this vitally important area.
I am in awe of your work supporting VAWG victims through your Lioness Network, and by your event with VAWG Minister @AlexDaviesJones who is piloting key policies to reduce VAWG in our patch, Croydon
"..from about 480,000 full-time posts under Gordon Brown to 380,000 ... civil service grew to its current size of 513,000 under Theresa May, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak."
I would prefer fewer civil servants on better wages with money in our communities

@campbellclaret You sound like one of those judges who couldn't name the Beatles (Greg Wallace is not however the John Lennon of TV - the opposite in fact)
Alastair, you are to popular culture/TV personalities what @RoryStewartUK is to sports stars.
Agree. Weird that it led the bulletins.
