Really pleased to see this is now out. Congratulations to Beppe Pezzini on pulling this collection together. I have a piece in there on Smith and #Tolkien's war poetry! @engfac@ExeterCollegeOx

Really looking forward to this. What promises to be a much-needed study of the rise of occultism in the 20th century by Felix Taylor (who I had the pleasure to co-supervise for his doctorate).
@bloomsburybooks@engfac@ExeterCollegeOx We are thrilled, as part of the Bloomsbury-Oxford Fantasy Summer School series (hosted at Exeter College), to announce our 2 latest interviews – with fantasy authors Katherine Rundell and Samantha Shannon: https://t.co/NmReA7v3sj
Basic plot summary: two refugees hiding in attic (re Anne Frank). A downed RAF pilot breaks in to hide from troops outside. It was meant to be a warning of what could happen if things went too far, not a prediction.
I wrote this play in 2006 - it was meant to be a dystopian vision of the US in the light of G W Bush, but it seems a far more innocent time back then than now. It won the 2007 Oxford Playhouse Award and is aimed at KS3 or 11-16 year olds: https://t.co/eMFfmKRMpw
We are pleased to announce more recordings from our Bloomsbury-Oxford Summer School - this time follow-up interviews with some of the speakers: https://t.co/NmReA7uvCL
The Oxford War Collections have now been viewed more than 1 million times!
It's good to know that people are still finding their way to the fascinating stories and objects that families shared between 2017 and 2024.

@EngFac_Outreach If you did not manage to attend the @BloomsburyBooks publishing / Oxford English Faculty Fantasy Summer School in September - all the podcasts are now available on our fantasy lit series! Enjoy: https://t.co/NmReA7uvCL
Just noticed this doc on #Tolkien is being repeated on Arte TV (I have a small part in there but lots of contributions from a range of excellent Tolkien scholars): https://t.co/tfsIefDvcN
@EngFac_Outreach For those of you who were unable to make the Oxford Bloomsbury Summer School on Fantasy Literature the recordings of the sessions are now available at: https://t.co/7qgLDWeZuM
@British_Airways I know you do but you dumped me at T4. You franchised the flight to Vueling not the travel agent. When I tried to check in your site redirected me to them so this was your decision.
Hey @British_Airways when I book a return flight with you leaving T5 at LHR I expect you to be dropped back at T5 by a BA plane not at T4 by Vueling meaning I have to get a train to the central bus station. I look forward to your reply.
@British_Airways It was booked via a travel agent through my company. Result was a train and very long walk to bus station. I don’t think it’s acceptable. You’re the national airline and always advertise T5. T4 is not good as you know as the transport (buses to Oxford) do not stop there.
Sorry to say that tomorrow's talk (23/10/25) as part of our 'Weird and Wonderful' series at Oxford on 'Charles Williams and the Occult' by Felix Taylor has had to be cancelled. Please accept our apologies.
In person & online!
