Excellent news and appointment by #stirling council. It is so important for older voices to heard and listened to. An Older People's Champion is a great development for making this happen.
#Stirling Council has appointed Councillor Elaine Watterson as Stirling’s first-ever Older People’s Champion.
The Champion will act as a link between the Council and older people across the Stirling area.

👇#Glasgow member Catherine, a real person, with real social care needs, will be left without food/meals in a few weeks. @GCHSCP not responding to our requests for information, what will happen to our members like Catherine if we close? Please RT and sign #SaveGlasgowFoodTrain
A cold one this morning but once again our amazing volunteers will be out supporting Glasgow's older people. Rain, snow, hail or shine they are always there. It's Friday so we're out and about in the east end so say hello if you see us.

As @GlasgowCC prepare to make a critical decision over the future of our #Glasgow branch tomorrow, we’ve sent this letter to every single Glasgow City Councillor.
Please RT and feel free to make your views known to your local councillor.
This is terrible news for all in Glasgow, and a terrible recommendation. So many older people rely on Food Train for vital food access and companionship. What will they do if this decision isn't overturned?
‼️ GLASGOW BRANCH FACES CLOSURE
We are devastated to learn that our #Glasgow branch of Food Train that has delivered lifeline shopping supplies to hundreds of older people across Glasgow for 10 years, faces closure after council officials recommended its funding be axed.

We won! Thanks so much to everyone who voted. This wouldn't be possible without our amazing volunteers doing so much to help older people in Scotland eat well, age well and live well. You're all fantastic.
@ChargePlaceScot can you confirm if the helpline is functioning this morning? I eventually got as far as being put on hold, 50 minutes later I'm still on hold. Perhaps updating your customers on expected waiting times on Twitter would be useful?
@ChargePlaceScot why is no-one answering at your 24/7 call centre? I have a delivery van on charge that needs to be released ASAP from a charging point
