@Sulkhan The problem with leaving the eu is that we did not do it properly. The problems are caused by politicians thinking that they could just leave a little bit here and a little bit there.
That combined with the eu needing to punish the UK for daring to leave. To keep other in check.

@AScot94175440 I would disagree on whom influenced who. As the Flag of Great Britain was about nearly 100 years before Tsar Peter the Great first raised the thing in 1701. Admittedly the Act of Union came 100 years after that but we, all of us, had the basic idea first I would say

However I stand corrected on some dates after further research.

1606 Union of the Crowns. Flag of St. George = Saltire.
1801 Act of Union when the Irish Saltire was added.

It is also the fact that, flag or Jack, it was not in its current state until 1707 at the earliest.

@LabourfutureUK If this is correct, and the rumours are false, surely at the very least the Government should be expelling the Russian Mission, invoke Article 5 of the NATO charter and be preparing to go onto a War footing against Russia.
This is an attack on the Sovereignty of the UK.
