Celebrating both being home from two month’s of touring and my first time presenting a show!

A massive thank you to @StuartJamesRoss for asking me to present the World of the Wickerman 5-hour special show for BBC Radio 4 Extra. Not only an incredibly cool first show to be doing but also a full-circle moment for me — having grown up listening to the radio all day for company during the formative years I lived with my grandparents, where I often shut myself away in absolute darkness and watched spiders build webs in the corners of the decrepit front room I lived in as the likes of John Suchet and John Finnemore took to the waves. I was Influenced by my father’s deep love of The Goon Shows, and by my twenties was often imitating the voices of various presenters and actors, some of which I still do to this day as warm up before live shows.
So hearing my own voice say “I’m Evelyn Hollow and this is BBC Radio 4 Extra” is… bizarre.
I hope you all enjoy the show as much as I did recording it, and once again thank you to @StuartJamesRoss and the folks over at BBC 4X for having me.
