You say "The EU does not legislate law"
What the EU actually says;
"A "regulation" is a binding legislative act. It must be applied in its entirety across the EU."
"A "directive" is a legislative act that sets out a goal that EU countries must achieve"
You on the other hand lie by omission.
I can tolerate misunderstanding and ignorance of a subject but you clearly lie.

Not BS in the least, read the factortame case; EU membership results in the supremacy of EU law over national law, and any national law that contradicts it will be disapplied regardless of the democratic will of that nation.
You can have national sovereignty and democratic consent or you can be in the EU, you cannot have both.
"To be honest, I’ve come to believe these honours are losing their value. Far too many recent recipients have been of embarrassingly low calibre, low IQ and to be frank, low life. "
This will happen in any system that politicians have anything to do with, they will always publicly reward those that give overt credence to their ideology.
There are ways to mitigate this, by setting standards for awards and removing politicians from the decision making process for handing out honours, but you will never entirely remove the problem.

Bad call to cancel this, the original cast and crew of Stargate were and are excellent, with solid acting and scripting that is far better than a mist of what is made today.
There is ready made market for this, good enough that the originals lasted eight seasons, two movies and a pair of spinoffs, and it beggars belief that you would squander this.
I’m gonna simply say this: if you are at all interested in a Stargate show with ANY of the original creators/performers involved, now is the time to say something. Otherwise it really will be the end of that chapter forever. Let them know you are THERE

I'm surprisingly out on my own in saying that throwing bricks at coppers is not justified. I'm not saying people shouldn't protest, but I spotted people in that mob who belong to organisations that even someone like me (Homeland Party member - regularly mentioned in Searchlight etc) would regard as far right (people who would deport all brown peope - with the emphasis on Jews). As such, if the government says that the riots were the actions of far right thugs, then this time the language is technically accurate. That one of them happened to be a skinhead wearing a Restore Britain t-shirt is not the best image you want to project if you want to win over the middle class.
If you want to sent the message that ordinary decent people have had enough then you actually need to present ordinary decent people - and not weirdos with a crate full of Wehrmacht memorabilia under the bed. This has made it very easy for the government to reclaim the narrative.
Don't for a nanosecond think I don't understand the anger. Last year I went through the unsettling experienced of being thrown in a cage by North Yorkshire Police for the crime of posting a meme on X. I am just as sick of this bullshit as you. But I don't blame the coppers they sent. They we're just kids (our boys) and I would not see them harmed - because today many of them will be out as first responders to accidents, doing the job of paramedic. You can't be the ones calling for the Manchester airport thugs to be jailed and deported for what they did, to then be cheering on actual far right thugs throwing bricks at their faces. The people at fault are further up the chain. The entire force is ideologically corrupted.
By all means, attend protests. But let the police be the ones to start the trouble. Let people see how they respond. All that was achieved yesterday was to trash the town, and to give the government the precise pretext it needs to crack down if they show up again.
The thing about these protests is that they have to reach a critical mass - and to win over the sympathies of the insulated middle class. We are reaching that critical mass, but that sympathy is very easily lost if a policeman ends up with life changing injuries at the hands of some neo-nazi goon. A bit of self-discipline goes along way.
Ive been thinking for a while that rebuilding British police, institutions in general really, needs to take some inspiration from the post 45 de-nazification work done in Germany.
Perceptions need to be seriously reframed and along with that practices and procedures that have led to the currant malaise.
It's not a problem unique to Britain of course, AU, NZ and Canada have the same basic problems, but far to many politicians and pundits really don't grasp that their mode of thinking has led to the rot getting as bad as it has, and they are a part of of the problem even if they can see that something is badly wrong.
@FraserNelson@AnjaliEwing@Katie_Lam_MP But this, still on the statute books, means nothing.
Subjects’ Arms.
"That the Subjects which are Protestants may have Arms for their Defence suitable to their Conditions and as allowed by Law."

The Sikh kirpan originates in a religious edict from Guru Singh in 1699.
In 1689, ten years earlier, the Bill of Rights granted all Protestants in the UK the right to bear arms.
It’s a traditional right for everyone in the UK. The British government should give it back.
X'er, as it happens:
So, you watched 9/11 and ISIS videos, other peoples suffering, while mummy and daddy made you dinner, and you think your tough huh?
Ok.
You speak with the arrogant self-confidence of someone whose never actually known any hardship.
But of course, you are a New Zealander; you're from a lazy and indolent nation at the arse end of the world whose last known domestic 'problem' was the watersiders strike in 1951 and subconsciously you think the world owes you a living because Pete Jackson made movies about Hobbits and David Lange did a debate at Oxford University.
Tell ya what, oh mighty hero of your own dreams, nip down to Wellington to the Ukrainian Embassy and join up for a tour on the eastern front, and if you survive you can tell us all how great kicking of a bit of domestic violence is.
@TJMartinell1 More a case of Tarkin having operational command of the DS, Vader is there to ensure the man with the planet buster stays under Palpatine's thumb.
You've advocating violence when you've clearly never had any serious experience with it, let alone serious state despotism, had you that experience you wouldn't be spouting this shit, what's more you wouldn't be talking about throwing bricks at cops like an amateur.
So yes.. go have a look at the old eastern block in 1989 and gain some perspective; You don't have the first clue on what you're asking for or how to do it.
