@SophiaMyles Brian visits the only other thing in the known universe, larger on the inside than outside. The other being his infinite vocal chest cavity. Loved him in Henrry 8.0.
@RishiSunak@thetimes Under 25s have inherited a really tough situation. My own opinion is; that we should offer them large tax breaks to encourage entrepreneurship. ie earn up to 250k tax free, per annum between 18 - 25. NB with checks to ensure it’s not abused eg iht avoidance.
@alexfmac Totally radical idea for growth, but why not offer 18-25 yr olds who setup businesses a tax free allowance of say £500k (I said it was radical) and reduce red tape for them. They’ve been given a raw deal & will create new opportunities. NB will need checks on iht avoidance, etc.
@afneil In all practical terms, it maybe impossible to do so. As highlighted by others. However if we put each of the utilities under an expanded FCA & remove the existing offices. You can then properly audit their operations and regulate them accordingly.
@bestofstarwar I worked for a really nice US freight company at the time called Kamino, established in 1969. We were quite surprised when the film came out.
@MartinSLewis Decouple the link between electricity prices and gas? It would encourage the public to invest in renewable sources & cut bills. Unfortunately would cost the exchequer & there would be public scepticism about their long term commitment to it.
@JohnCleese Genuinely felt sorry for his mental health watching the 1st episode. Reassuringly he was his back to his usual eloquent self on R4. Superbly nuanced performance. Well done everyone involved.
