@JemmaRowlandson@csctbath CO2 should be inert at that temperature (which is why we use it, yep!). We've been seeing much improved kinetics in the monoliths when moving to higher activation samples - comparable to the GACs - so the next step is polishing the activation process and finding that sweet spot.

@JemmaRowlandson@csctbath Hi Jemma, thanks for asking! We first carbonise our structured resin precursor in CO2 at roughly 500oC. A thermal activation treatment in CO2 is then carried out at 950oC until we see a 20-50% weight loss of carbon.
