Lucy makes some fantastic points here. We must stress, it is really worth looking @SarahRoseCrook’s work. She can show that society has been worried about a “crisis” in student mental health since the 1950’s or even earlier.
Thank you to all our conference speakers and @EdinburghUni . Such a beautiful city and we’ve learned so much - a great opportunity for networking, @StudentHealthA 73rd annual conference!
Thought provoking talk from Dr Robby Steel about medics own personality traits and also how patients with a personality disorder must feel if they provoke others to not like them and how that must feel to them. #studentmentalhealth
Final session of the day from Anne Harpin about basing Wellness Week on 5 pillars of wellness: body, communication, academic, social, mental wellness. Inspiring ideas to support students - including bringing alpacas onto campus!
Really looking forward to speaking at the @StudentHealthA conference this afternoon, sharing how we developed & deliver #PrescribeCulture on campus @EdinburghUni & giving the delegates a little taster of our Programme 6 session #Health @SocialPrescribing https://t.co/uzKtX8meOq
Very interesting and informative talk at @StudentHealthA conference today from Becky Choat @SwanAutism about autistic women. 42% misdiagnosed with mental health problem. Shocking statistic that life expectancy is 58. #Autism
