DAY 2: COMMUNITY ACTIONS
Send email.
Sign petition.
Phone bank.
Repeat.
It's that easy. So why aren't you doing it yet? Demand more justice for your fellow students who are risking deportation and MORE. https://t.co/abRuRDA1bp
If your actions stopped yesterday night when you heard the announcement about the #StudentBan, are you really an advocate or ally? Ask yourself this and be better. Our campaign just got started. This isn’t the end, ICE & DHS. We demand MORE. #AbolishICE
#students2stay doesn’t mean that once the legislation is revoked that we’re done. We stand for all students and especially the underrepresented. We need to go harder for undocumented students. BIPOC students. Black students. Queer students. We’re not done yet. Not even close.
students talking to school admin: we need support from u and we need international student funding and we need y’all to keep our health safe and we need you to protect undocumented and BIPOC students
schools: 🤡🥰we🧚♀️love💕you🧚♀️
It’s a win! But...
WHAT ABOUT UNDOCUMENTED STUDENTS?
WHAT ABOUT XENOPHOBIA IN SCHOOLS?
WHAT ABOUT INCOMING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS & GRADUATES?
WHAT ABOUT KIDS IN CAGES AT THE BORDER?
WHAT ABOUT MUTUAL AID FUNDS + COVID-19 SUPPORT?
THIS ISN’t OVER.
#Students2Stay
We are taking radical and important next steps to ensure that this ruling and the unjust system that allowed it STOPS. This is not the end. It’s barely the beginning. We’re taking action bigger and bolder starting TOMORROW. Are you ready to join us?
#SanctuaryNow#Students2Stay
WHAT NEXT? WHAT NEXT? WHAT NEXT?
The movement isn’t stopping here. How are you taking further action? What are you doing next? How can you protect students and their communities?
We are demanding you ask yourself these questions. Ask yourself to do more. #AbolishICE
@ThreeCatsinaTr1 @Harvard@MIT We are referring to universities and colleges who send letters/email newsletter to students of “support” without actively engaging in any legal action for their international students without the pressure and petitions of active student bodies.
DHS’s recent decision forcing international students with F1/M1 visas to leave if classes remain digital will harm low income & housing insecure international students the most yet all these schools do is draft strongly worded letters. what’s a letter gonna do mark? 🤡
schools must take immediate action to protect their students if they are to continue claiming they’re “beacons of diversity.” smells like performative in here! 🤢🤢🤢
😖🥰😳OUR FAV WAY TO SLIDE INTO DMS🥰😳🤲🏽
🥰do u want to phone bank to save students from getting deported with me?
😌have u signed this petition? 😚
❤️🥺hey beautiful, let me give u some digits😚 of elected officials who should be taking legal action
#AbolishICE#StudentBan
As college students, we must continue to speak up for our classmates. Whether we are sending emails to federal leadership or calling our school administration, we must be heard. Our campaign will have different resources to speak out against injustice. #Student2Stay#AbolishICE
#StudentBan news [open]: Various universities have spoken out against the #ICE announcement. @Harvard and @MIT filed a lawsuit against the #DonaldTrump administration and will receive a decision Tuesday. @UofCalifornia also filed a lawsuit, while colleges are filing amicus briefs
On July 9, @CAgovernor / California became the first state to sue @realDonaldTrump admin, considering we have the highest number of students on visas in the nation. We will NOT allow ICE to subject them to deportation or put them at risk of getting #COVID with this illegal policy
