Today, StudentsNS launched our Get Out the Vote (#gotvns) campaign to encourage students to head to the polls for the upcoming NS election. Student unions across the province are supporting the campaign by providing voter info, hosting events and collecting pledges on campuses 🗳️
This week, our Chair, Prajwal Shetty, spoke on student debt levels in Nova Scotia and the need for increased grants over loans for student financial aid borrowers.

We're boosting the student living allowance. This means more money in students' pockets this fall, so they can focus on what matters – getting that education and building a brighter future.
Extending the Canada Student Grant and Loan programs will provide immediate relief to students in need, and the Canada Learning bond will now provide every child from a low-income family in Canada money to save for post-secondary education.
