I have a very similar story where I picked up a Royal QD from a fella for 10 and that thing was untouched and in perfect condition! It was a nice shiny black… or matt… I have two so I don’t remember which is which 😂

@corvinoxart I was also taught to just dip the end of the pen nib instead of the whole piece so that the ink doesn't get wasted. This saved me ink and from messes.

Ok, sometimes I wear an art tablet glove other times I am so used to handling my materials that it is rare to get ink on myself. I also try to keep my grip further back on the pen.
