For those claiming we can’t compare the issues with black Australians to what is happening in the US because the issues are “not as bad”.

The rate of imprisonment for black Australian adults is 1,769 per 100,000 or 2.5 times higher than the US rates of black incarceration.

The Western Australian rate is 2,827 per 100,000 almost 4 times greater than the US rate of black incarceration.

Yes. Correct. It’s not as bad in Australia. It’s significantly worse.

We did it! Here's what we missed while we were sleeping.

Before this year, the highest recorded 2-meter surface temperature for the Arctic was 5.694°C on July 26, 2020.

This year:

July 26: 5.696°C
July 27: 5.813°C
July 28: 5.907°C (42.63°F).

Yesterday's North Atlantic sea surface temperature just hit a new record high anomaly of 1.33°C above the 1991-2020 mean, with an average temperature of 24.39°C (75.90°F).

By comparison, the next highest temperature on this date was 23.63°C (74.53°F), in 2020.
