Shivang is an excellent Prospect for future.

He is an opener or no.3 in domestic but we used him as a finisher.

If Head is not available for 2027 or we release him, In both cases why not Play Shivang as opener in few matches.

He has shown batting promise in this IPL also.

@CricVarunSRH Can We use Shivang as opener in next season along with Abhishek (L-R pair), the same like Sunil used by Gautam in KKR ?

May be Shivang will give us quick-fire starts and a extra open place in the 11.

We lost due to batting failure?
We have lost the game already after the first inning. You can't expect your team to chase 240+ everytime and even in Knockouts.
RR have scored 243 in Eliminator with even Jurel scored at 200+ SR.
And, Say Batting failure !!!

@MJ_John45 Ishan has played IPL as No.3 and half of the matches he comes after wickets in first 3 overs.

In T20 WC, Ishan started as Opener but Tilak batted at no.3, but Tilak failed at No.3 so he was demoted to no.5/6 and Ishan shifted to no.3.

What to say now ?

Tilak could have been picked only for Eng and Asian Games while sundar fir Ireland and Asian Games.

@OrangeGroot @EndukuBey Brother He is true, You can Check Surya and Tilak Stats in international cricket in last 30 Inning's, Surya has better numbers as both have same Avg with SKY SR=150+

And In last 14-17 innings Surya Averages 44 with SR of 164-while Tilak 32 with SR of 138.

Sanju is looking safe.
No chance for Ishan as he is no. 3
Openers: Abhi, Sanju, Vaibhav
No.3,4,5: Ishan,Iyer,Tilak.

There are no other batsman that means Selectors have fixed Ishan as no.3, So Vaibhav is backup opener now.

@ram45tej @SriniR_2025 That's The Correct Analysis from you, I have seen many posts like this and Some like Now Tilak will replace Ishan at 3.

But Everyone needs to understand Tilak is one of the best Pace hitter in India for last 6-8 overs currently.

He has done the same in 2nd half of WC also.

Everyone is Questioning Tilak being the VC.

I Know Ishan deserves but it's ok & Who fears that Ishan may lose his spot from 11, that's not true, Ishan is fixed no.3 as of now.

Abhi & Sanju are openers.
Vaibhav is backup.
Ishan is no.3, Iyer is no.4 and Tilak is no.5

Simple, Batting position is decided as per the Captain and Team Management Choices and preferences.

Everyone is overcomplicating.

Sanju and Abhishek are openers with Vaibhav as backup.

Ishan is no.3 ✅

But Vaibhav will come 💯 %.

@KrishSingh37696 @IS_Netwrk29 It's not the point. At the end, he was not the part of India T20 side for last 2 years. So, It is not the right way to directly give the Captaincy to him.

This is going to happen for the first time in the Indian Cricket history.

Let's see and hope he wins Olympics Gold and WC.

We have won Two Consecutive T20 WC, We have not lost any T20 Series in last 2 Year, We are No. 1 ranked Team in ICC.

Then, What is the ceiling now ?
