Member of Scottish Parliament, Holly Bruce, is introducing a free bus pass scheme for illegal migrants.

Ally McCoist has condemned the state of Glasgow after watching a BBC expose on the city centre.

He said:

“The city centre of Glasgow is horrendous. They are selling drugs during the day and at night, it’s not safe for girls to walk around.

I went in on the train one day and it was horrendous. Even the colour of the pavement, it was filthy. It’s heartbreaking.

What kind of advert is that for tourism? Never mind any tourists coming in, I’m staying away from the city centre.”

Police are investigating after a knifepoint robbery at a shop in East Kilbride.

Staff at the Alloway Road premises were threatened with a blade at around 12:35pm today, and alcohol and scratch cards were stolen.

Armed officers attended and no injuries were reported, enquiries are ongoing.
