After 7y as senior coach at Sturt Lions, it's time for a break. 24 was about regeneration with the intro of 14 players into the senior setup 21y or younger with 9 promoted from our Reserves.
Been some great moments. Thanks to the many who have been part of the football journey.

VALE Stephen Maxwell ‘Maxi’. We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Stephen ‘Maxi’ Maxwell. Maxi was a much loved member of the Sturt Lions family and well respected within the FSA community. Maxi will be deeply missed by everyone that had the honour to meet him. 🕊️🧡💙🦁

Football legend Steve Maxwell passed away today.

Aside from his unparalleled achievements as a footballer, Steve actively gave back to the beautiful game.

He was a fantastic person who was very kind and generous with his time. He is going to be greatly missed at Karinya.
