We use UPI daily, but many still ask:
โDo I need a UPI PIN to receive money?โ
Answer: NO.
๐ PIN is only when money leaves your account.

@airtelindia Extremely disappointed with your service! Frequent disconnections, terrible speeds, broken IVR when we call support, and engineers who visited fixed NOTHING. This is unacceptable. When will this actually be resolved? #CustomerService#WiFiIssues
@SignalHouseSMS@CRED_club Totally agree. SMS OTP for registration is non-negotiable.
If thereโs no SMS verification at onboarding, a stolen phone + SIM swap = full UPI access. Especially dangerous because UPI PIN is static. Someone who knows your PIN and swaps your SIM can own your account.
Paid via @CRED_club, Face ID, no PIN, no OTP. Tried other UPI apps the same week, still asking for PIN. One app tied biometrics to payment auth, not just app login. Imagine this for cards via tokenisation. The building blocks exist. Who builds it next?
Can someone steal your phone, swap the SIM and drain your UPI account?
Short answer: No.
Hereโs why the viral video getting shared everywhere has it completely wrong
@airindia If you canโt guarantee a paid upgrade, donโt sell it. I paid for a neighbour-free seat, but another passenger is seated there too. Told flight is full and both have paidโrefund is the only option, no written acknowledgment. Very disappointing.
@gallinews@mybmc Same situation in jigeshwari east at WE highway. @mybmc you want to make Mumbai world class but this is not world class. Suburbs are give n step motherly treatment
