Combat in Falling Frontier breaks out in four distinct phases, with each playing out in real time.
The phase you're in is largely determined by distance, information, and armaments.

To create a richer and fuller world in Falling Frontier, there are systems for background ambient traffic. Transports move between logistical bases so that the endless void of space doesn't feel quite as empty.
@Unikraken@Z7000k Unlikely, Falling Frontier is designed around smaller operational Flotilla's. Ships are complex and pack a lot of firepower which is computationally expensive.
