Making fun of Joe Biden’s stutter is not okay. I know first hand what it feels like to stutter. Its physically draining to speak and sometimes impossible for us to get our words out. For some reason, stuttering is a disability many people feel comfortable mocking.

A friend asked me what my end goal was when I worked on my speech a few years ago.

Me: 'I don't want to relapse'.

Friend: 'Did you not hear me? I asked what you want, not what you don't want'.

I learned just how negative my mind was that day.
