Robert Brown Elliott was a British-born American politician of British Afro-Caribbean ethnic background. He was a member of the United States House of Representatives from South Carolina, serving from 1871 to 1874.

Leroy Raadell Posey, Sr., was a professor of Mathematics at Southern University and A&M College, where he also served as the head of the Department.
He invented a mathematics teaching device known as the Combination Slide Board.

In the 1930s, during his visit to the campus of Southern University and A&M College, Langston Hughes autographed a copy of his book titled "The Negro Mother and Other Dramatic Recitations."
Black History - Negro Supervisors Institute. Positioned in the middle of the photograph, in the third row, appears to be John Sebastian Jones, serving as both the State Agent and the prominent leader among Negro educators supporting the relocation of Southern University.

Yesterday, the John B. Cade Library marked the noteworthy occasion of receiving the remaining collection of Coach Arnett William "Ace" Mumford, graciously donated to the Archives and Manuscripts Department. It was a truly remarkable day, filled with joy .
