RaeRae, Sierra, and Chalice at the Swoop counter in Halifax were fantastic, helpful beyond, but could only confirm that 6 days after I flew my luggage has been found in an airport I didn’t use.

[Suzanne Brandreth @SuBrandreth]

@FlySwoop Would love to give you a great review here but still waiting for last week’s luggage — & reliable information about when it will be delivered.

And nothing for 48 hours despite many, many emails.

I'm a CDN agent & recognize that I haven't done nearly enough to create a diverse and inclusive pub industry. We can't keep relying on the hard work of those most affected & sidelined by racism to fix it. Diversity of perspectives, decision-making is essential. I will do better.

[BIPOC of Publishing in Canada - UPDATES ONLY @BIPOCPub]

We'd also like to take a moment to discuss the first gatekeepers in publishing: literary agents.

The situation in Canadian agenting is abysmal when it comes to BIPOC, and specifically Black people. There are maybe 2 Black literary agents actively representing authors.

What a night! What a year! This Saturday, we got to see @rupikaur_’s last performance of 2018 at home in Toronto, after she’s spent most of the year touring the UK, India and US. It was a truly special evening full of laughter and tears. Thank you, Rupi!
