@413Crow@TheRallyMullet@PhantomTroel The bibles teachings didn’t pull ethics out if thin air, it pulled from previous readings/old laws. Humans don’t need religion to not be shitty
The right wing reaction to the birthright citizenship ruling suggests that they didn’t anticipate it as the extremely obvious, overwhelmingly likely outcome that it was, which tells you something about the information environment they’ve been boiling their brains in.
Happy Bobby Bonilla Deferral Day: Bonilla is set to collect another $1.193 million from the New York Mets today, as he will each July 1st through the year 2035.
Am I missing something?
The Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship—which has been the law of the land for 158 years. Nothing changed.
These people are complete morons.
The silliest objection to birthright citizenship is that “many other countries don’t have it.” OK? America is better. I thought the right agreed with that. We have it because the U.S. is exceptional. Next!
I’m not a constitutional lawyer, although I run up against first amendment/speech issues on a semi-regular basis, but I’ve never read a compelling argument for originalism or seen it produce anything but absurd results in practice. At some point the proof is in the pudding.
The court strikes down President Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship, holding that children born in the U.S. to parents unlawfully or temporarily present are “subject to the jurisdiction” of the U.S. and are citizens at birth.

Mel Brooks turns 100 years young today, but also:
• Defused landmines in WWII at Battle of the Bulge
• Is one of only 22 people to win a competitive EGOT
• Changed his name to avoid being confused with a famous trumpet player
• Just filmed Spaceballs 2 at age 99
@RoguePOTUSStaff Nonsense. The Democratic establishment has been propping up centrist candidates at the national level. Just because a few Dem-socialist candidates won at the local level does not signify a drastic shift to the left. Your spreading the take Fox News has been pushing on the masses
@CynicalPublius@margbrennan dude shut up, Gen. Fredendall was a coward who never left his HQ, and Bagram is not similar to Kasserine Pass in any good faith comparison. Pathetic shilling for the regime
