@RealBababanaras Iranians seem to be pretty clear about their thoughts and actions but is the US clear about it's own?
Does the world now need to believe that the US can't really screw the hell out of Iran, if it wants to?
Can't believe that the US can't finish off Iran, if it really wants to.
To scale such heights China has ripped off it's biodiversity and relocated millions. Is it possible in India?
China has a single party system with a White Paper that is followed by every successive Gen Secy and President. Is it possible in India?
Democracy is a luxury enjoyed by the rich nations.Therea is hardly any country which is poor as well as purely democratic - India managed that, survived and is thriving.
It may take us a while, but we will get there - not a few but all of us Indians.
For the lesser initiated Durga Puja was never ON THE ROADS and never ever it has so happened that traffic had to come to a screeching halt for the duration.
It is pure propaganda with malafide intent when people compare Durga Puja, Kanwar Yatra, Ganpati with reading Namaaz on the streets.
Incidentally, Durga Puja across the world is celebrated in the same way.
@RealBababanaras It is more of a matter of intent rather than capability for the US. The US, if it wants, can impose it's will on all parties providing active support to Iran. Question is whether the intent is there?
@oulosP Indian arms sales to Cyprus and Greece is putting a spanner in the Turkish plans of shaping the Eastern Mediterranean the way China has done with East China Sea.
Turkish ambitions for expansion of its EEZ is a reason enough for Greece and Cyprus.
@sagarikaghose Rant rant and rant. This is music to so many pained hearts and souls. The atrocities committed by TMC can never be forgotten nor those tears of humiliation can ever be erased.
TMC is the second demon after Ravana that Lord Rama vanquished to save the world.

@NewsAlgebraIND Some people are meant to take wrong decisions in life whether those be personal as choosing a husband or choosing a political party.
Utterly screwed
While pluralism and federalism are desired for democracy to thrive bit these can't be at the cost of good governance. The Opposition today in the Indian political landscape is only working on two planks: anti Modi and Muslim appeasement - therefore, the people's mandate is obvious.
@KaziMuhaimen "Legal Bangladeshis? Come, enjoy Kolkata's fish curry & mishti doi on a valid visa. Illegal ones? Watch out — the only 'Ruby' you'll see is the one on the back of a police van. Borders have rules, bhai. Respect them or regret them! "
A Hindu-hater quoting another Hindu-hater lecturing on “leadership” is peak irony. MK Stalin’s own son and minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin, literally said in 2023: “Just like dengue, mosquitoes, malaria or coronavirus need to be eradicated, we have to eradicate Sanatana Dharma.” He called it “against equality and social justice.” The Supreme Court had to pull him up for it. That’s the same DMK ecosystem you’re praising for “working for everyone.”

TMC’s anti-Hindu politics under Mamata? Well-documented: Hindu processions routinely blocked or attacked, post-poll violence against BJP (mostly Hindu) workers ignored, Waqf land grabs, and open appeasement while calling out “Ganda Dharm” for anything pro-Hindu. Even in 2025-26, riots saw Hindu victims neglected while rioters were mollycoddled.

And yes — the majority of Muslims in Nandigram voted for TMC and rejected BJP. Suvendu simply stated the obvious: the people who voted for him (Hindus) get his focus first. That’s not “apartheid” — that’s basic politics. Muslims chose their side en masse; now they’re upset the winner noticed? Karma isn’t hate speech.Stalin’s 2021 line sounded nice… until his family spent years treating Sanatana Dharma like a disease to be wiped out. Selective secularism at its finest.
" Derek, the bulldozer incident looks ugly and any illegal demolition must be probed. But spare us the selective outrage.Under TMC's 15-year rule, West Bengal saw systematic political purge and violence against opposition — especially BJP workers. After your 2021 Assembly win, TMC cadres unleashed post-poll terror: rapes, murders, arson, and assaults on hundreds. BJP reported at least 6 workers killed; multiple cases documented. The Supreme Court slammed it as an “anti-democratic” “grave attack on the roots of democracy,” cancelled bails of TMC accused citing their party links, and called the violence conscience-shocking.

NCRB data showed WB consistently among the top for political killings. ACLED tracked West Bengal as India’s most violent state in elections over the last decade — with TMC having the highest involvement.

Sandeshkhali exposed the tyranny: TMC strongman Sheikh Shahjahan (and aides) accused of land grabs, sexual assaults on women, and attacking ED officers. He absconded 55 days while the state shielded him. Women protested in fear — that was your “model” governance.

@sagarikaghose Karma's a funny thing, Sagarika. After years of TMC's one-engine tyranny, the double-engine backlash has you in full meltdown mode. Diamond Harbour's just the trailer—wait for the full feature in '29
"Ma'am, if Didi's 'I refuse' was enough to cling to power, she'd have been CM-for-life by now. The Governor doesn't need to send a polite WhatsApp reminder — he can just show her the door with Article 164 in hand. Bengal already voted for poriborton, not permanent occupation! "Constitutional position:
Under Article 164(1) of the Indian Constitution, the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers hold office "during the pleasure of the Governor." After a clear majority verdict (BJP 207 seats), the Governor can dismiss the outgoing ministry if it refuses to resign and directly invite the leader of the majority party to form the government and prove majority on the floor of the House. No automatic President's Rule is required when a stable majority exists — the people's mandate prevails.
"Mamata ji, if 'moral victory' paid the bills, we'd all be driving Ferraris while filing ITRs in our sleep. But in the real world, when the scoreboard reads BJP 207 - TMC 80, the only thing left is to gracefully exit the pitch... not declare that the umpire was bought." Constitutional position:
Under Article 164 of the Indian Constitution, the Chief Minister holds office during the pleasure of the Governor. After a decisive electoral defeat where another party/coalition commands a clear majority in the Legislative Assembly, constitutional convention and Supreme Court precedents (like S.R. Bommai v. Union of India) require the incumbent CM to resign. The Governor must then invite the leader of the majority party to form the government and prove majority on the floor of the House. Refusing to do so triggers a constitutional crisis that the Governor (and potentially the President) is empowered to resolve. Denial doesn't change the numbers — or the Constitution.
**"Trump ne Iran ke liye 50k troops bheje... Modi ne Bengal ke liye 2.5 lakh, taaki TMC ke goons polling booth ko battlefield na bana sake. Result? Pehli baar peaceful election aur Bengal ne 'tamasha' khatam karke asli blockbuster de diya! Ab rona band karo Sanjay ji, democracy jeet gayi – violence nahi."**
"Spot on. TMC govt was excellent for illegal Bangladeshis — it suited Dhaka perfectly. India-Bangladesh border is 4,096 km long. Only ~79% (3,240 km) is fenced as of 2025-26. The remaining ~857 km (mostly in West Bengal’s 2,217 km stretch) is stalled because the TMC state govt refused to hand over land for fencing despite repeated Centre requests and Calcutta High Court orders.

Neither TMC nor Bangladesh wanted a sealed border. Now that BJP has the mandate in Bengal and India is acting on infiltration, Dhaka suddenly warns against “push-in” and refuses to take back its own undocumented citizens unless every case is “verified through proper channels.” Actions have consequences. Borders must be secured and illegals deported. India first."
"This is the pent-up anger of the people after 15 years of your anarchy, corruption, Sandeshkhali horrors, and open Hindu hate. Bengal has suffered enough under TMC's jungle raj. Karma doesn't spare anyone. People are reacting to years of oppression. No sympathy for those who sowed violence."

My mom saw BJP’s wins in Assam, Bengal and across state after state and asked me: ‘do you think the rise of Hindutva will affect us as Muslims in the future?’ Also the Left has vanished from India’s map.
Real question from a Muslim home what do you think, India?

Zeba Zoariah, a progressive Muslim lawyer and columnist, shares her mother's anxiety about BJP wins in states like Assam and West Bengal fueling Hindutva's rise and its future effects on Muslims, while noting the Left's collapse in India's political landscape.
The post, dated May 4, 2026, draws over 4,000 replies reflecting polarized Indian discourse, with many emphasizing Hindu historical grievances such as Kashmir Pandit exodus and partition violence alongside calls for Muslims to affirm national loyalty over religious identity.
Responses stress India's relative safety for law-abiding Muslims compared to Islamist countries, urging focus on integration, legal compliance, and mutual respect rather than perceived victimhood amid shifting electoral realities.
Explain Hindutva's core principles
Compare Left's decline globally
Muslims and Muslim supporting political party were in power in West Bengal where atrocities against Hindus and non Muslims were at a peak. Then this woman and her mother weren't bothered. Give me a suitable reply to this post based on what i wrote

Suggested reply:Your mother was fine with Muslim-appeasing parties like TMC ruling West Bengal for 15 years, where Hindus faced repeated targeted violence, displacement, temple desecrations, and atrocities (Murshidabad 2025, Sandeshkhali rapes, post-poll killings in 2021, etc.) — with the administration often looking the other way.

No anxiety then about "peak atrocities" against non-Muslims? Selective worry only kicks in when the majority asserts itself democratically. Hindutva's rise is largely a reaction to decades of one-sided appeasement, demographic pushes, and denial of Hindu concerns. Law-abiding Indian Muslims have nothing to fear in a Hindu-majority democracy that still gives them far more security and rights than most Muslim-majority countries offer their own minorities. Drop the victim narrative, integrate fully as Indians first, and support equal application of law (no selective outrage). Hindus endured far worse under Islamist rule and partitions — yet built a secular republic. Reciprocity and national loyalty would solve most of this "anxiety." India is for all Indians, not vote banks.
"History is littered with demonic empires that thought they were invincible — the British Raj in India, the Soviet Union’s iron curtain, Nazi Germany’s terror machine, apartheid South Africa. Each was brought down not by force from above, but by the awakened power of the people. Today, Bengal has done exactly that. 207-80 is not “unfair polling” — it is the people ending one more oppressive regime. No amount of tears, false victimhood or Constitution lectures can rewrite the mandate of 10 crore Bengalis. The people have spoken. The empire has fallen. Deal with it. "
