Many approach me for consultation on their Permanent Residency (PR) options in Canada, and during these consultations, I have observed they often have mixed feelings of confusion and hope, particularly about only #CanadianExperienceClass (#CEC)-specific draws under #ExpressEntry. While their hope is understandable, but the fact is that the IRCC hasn't conducted any CEC-specific draws in 2022 and 2023.
Looking back at the Express Entry system since its beginning in 2015, there was only one CEC-specific draw in that year. More were conducted in 2020 and 2021, largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which compelled the IRCC to meet its immigration level targets. Later, CEC-specific draws were put on hold for the last two years. However, CEC candidates continued to be invited under other programs such as 'No Program Specified' or #CategoryBasedDraws.
These #hopefulPR candidates often express concerns and ask questions about various sides:
- Where to move?
- Which PR program to opt for?
- What implications of moving to another province, especially if PNP programs change or they can't find a job?
- What will happen if an employer refuses to support their application for PNPs or AIP?
- Whether changing their occupation might affect their PR application?
- If switching occupations could create more PR opportunities or cause issues later?, and
- Why the IRCC is not conducting regular draws or considering CEC draws for the future?.
Considering all these #uncertainties among PR aspirants, I think the @CitImmCanada@MarcMillerVM should provide clarity or future projections about the possibility of CEC-specific draws. Additionally, it would be beneficial if the IRCC considered conducting #regular #ExpressEntryDraws, whether they are 'all-program specified', 'Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)', or other 'category-based/occupation specifics'. While it's logical that not all #temporaryresidents can be guaranteed PR, a clearer understanding of these policies would significantly help those aspiring to become permanent residents in their planning process.
@CitImmCanada From 2024 if student get online class that will effect their PGWP and university is not giving offline classes by giving reason of their infrastructure (like less classes for students to accommodate).
So ,here why should student pay a price for that, why shouldn't university.
Dear Hon. Immigration Minister @MarcMillerVM & @CitImmCanada, I humbly urge you to grant an extension for PGWP holders whose work permits are expiring in early 2024. We are counting on your support to ensure our future in Canada. 🙏🏻🇨🇦 #PGWPExtension2024#PGWP@JustinTrudeau
