Have also added people from the community by request so let me know if you'd like to be in it. (Generally looking for those typed by EU for data consistency)
Updated the Enneagram data on my site after a bit of a hiatus. Thought I'd throw out a reminder this exists. Been trying to keep it in sync with Enneagrammer's database on their site.

Cheers!
This is a key distinction and why they seem to feel that Chestnuts interpretation misses the mark by such a wide margin.
The types are not adapting to the instincts the types are developed to meet the instinctual needs!
The subtypes as interpreted by Chestnut imply a deviation from the core type toward the instincts.
Type -> instincts
Instincts modify the type
Enneagrammer has a different interpretation...
Enneagrammer has an interpretation where the type is adapted in response to the instincts.
Instincts -> type
Type is created as a means to satisfy the instincts.
Machine learning tells us that attempting to form predictions with too complex a model results in a predictions which can miss the mark entirely.
Over-reliance on the variance between data points is to blame. We must abstract and see the bigger picture.

An ExxJ problem for me is seeing others perspectives and feeling disconnected from them.
I'm constantly trying to reconcile that by trying to see their perspective in a way that I can relate to.
The void is in the acceptance of that separation.
Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain.
Doc - Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up.
The benefit (or consequence?) of learning so much psychology over the past decade or so of my life is that it's very hard to see things as good or bad anymore. Everything someone does is just a human response based on various internal and external factors. π€
