Hello everyone!
Since announcing Sublustrum, we've been reading your comments, questions, and discussions across Steam, Discord, and other social media. Some of you remember the original game, while others are only just discovering the Flickering World.
There are still a few things we're not ready to reveal just yet, but we'll continue sharing more as development progresses.
Today, we'd like to answer some of the questions we've seen most often and tell you a little more about the Sublustrum remake.
🌟50,000 wishlists for Sublustrum — thank you!
We’re grateful to everyone who has followed the game, added it to their wishlist, and supported its return. It means a lot to us to see so many players looking forward to stepping back into this world.
More news about Sublustrum, including updates on the demo, will be shared soon.
The longer you study the details, the stronger the feeling grows: these are not decorations. These are objects with a history not meant to be told aloud.
And when the music surrounds them, it does not sound like background. It sounds like a witness.

In Sublustrum, things may be silent, but they are never empty. Wood retains the warmth of other hands. And mechanisms remember the purpose for which they were last set in motion.
The only question is whether one would wish to start it again.

Light is no help in these places. It only reveals more details.
And the closer you look, the less you want to take the next step.
Not out of fear — but out of understanding: what lies ahead is not an answer, but another mystery.
#sublustrum
Some objects look too ordinary to raise suspicion.
But linger on them for a second longer, and you sense they are not here just for decoration.
In Sublustrum, objects don’t merely shape the interior—they capture a moment.

There are places where music does not entertain—it warns.
You don’t realize it at once: first you catch the rhythm, then you you notice that silence can feel heavier than any sound.
Sublustrum knows how to leave traces like these.
#sublustrum
Ancient idols remain silent. The civilization that created them has long since disappeared.
What became of those people? Did they fade away, dissolve into the current of time? Or did they simply leave a world that was not yet ready to accept—or understand—the scale of their designs?
#sublustrum
The echo of the scientist’s footsteps no longer lingers in this room. But his notes, books, and journals remain. And his voice may yet shed light on the mystery of his disappearance.

Giant flywheels, brass gears, steam engines… Sublustrum captures the spirit of early 20th-century retro-engineering – an era of bold experiments with mechanics.
Take the ship-stabilizing gyroscope, for example: a massive rotating flywheel that once kept vessels steady by counteracting roll and balancing motion. Over time, these anti-rolling gyros were replaced by lighter hydrodynamic stabilizers.
Yet their aesthetics – huge spinning wheels, heavy housings, and brass fittings – preserve the veiled atmosphere of vintage machinery within Sublustrum.

Literary Inspirations Behind the Sublustrum Universe
Jung, Memories, Dreams, Reflections – An autobiographical work that explores dreams as portals to the collective unconscious and reveals the hidden potentials of the psyche.
Meyrink, The Golem – A mystical and symbolic novel about borrowed life, life as a dream, and the struggle to awaken to the true Self.
Gogol, Diary of a Madman – Tells the tragedy of a “little man” who gradually descends into madness, loneliness, and loss of identity.
Grof, Beyond the Brain: Birth, Death, and Transcendence in Psychotherapy – A research on non-ordinary states of consciousness and proposes a new cartography of the brain with alternative therapeutic methods.
Lem, Solaris – A fantastic novel about scientists studying a planet with an alien ocean that reveals their deepest memories and traumas, questioning the limits of human knowledge.
The Tibetan Book of the Dead – A Buddhist guide to the states of mind during dying, offering instructions to awaken to the true nature of mind.
The Capsule. Not just a machine, but a portal… or a hallucination?
A mystical gateway between reality and a world where dreams and memories intertwine, where time and space lose their familiar shapes, and ghosts of the past linger in a repository of half-forgotten secrets.
What lies beyond? A fragile illusion.
A question without an answer. This is the Capsule.

A nostalgic glimpse back in time, yet alive in sound.
Sublustrum’s music continues to echo in the hearts of its fans.
A gentle, touching moment we’d love to share: one of our community members, Aesca, created a beautiful piano arrangement of Architectural Abstraction by Anthesteria – and shared the sheet music with everyone.
It’s incredible to see how Sublustrum inspires players to create their own art.

Ethereal. Fading from memory. Alienating.
In Sublustrum, every environment is born from sound, symbolism, and the hidden layers of the mind.
Interiors dusty with time, scratched by memory. Spaces breathe decay – industrial, retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic. Labyrinths, deserts, abandoned mansions, factories… mysterious and isolating, these places draw you inward.
Dive into the subconscious. What do you see around you?
