Healthcare in the US is a disaster 👇👇👇
Our publicly owned NHS works far better, we need to strengthen it and stop wasteful outsourcing and private finance
So the new chancellor SHOULDN'T BE WES STREETING who received £95,000 from John Armitage, a hedge fund manager with interests in US healthcare company United Health

😡 John Major, angry after 10 years of Brexit
“What made me angry was the way the vote was perverted… What was said implied the land of milk and honey. We were going to be stronger and more sovereign. None of those things have actually come about.”
“People have lost out. The cost to the British nation has been extraordinary… and it hasn’t delivered measurable gains in our lifestyle.”
Fiction: SJA is just another first aid training organization that shows up when something goes wrong. 🤔⛑
Fact: For over 140 years, St. John Ambulance has been a proud Canadian institution rooted in compassion, volunteer service, and the humanitarian legacy of St. John the Baptist.

On this day in 1675, the foundation stone of London’s most iconic cathedral was laid ⛪✨
On 21 June, master mason Thomas Strong placed the first stone of what would become St Paul's Cathedral, under the direction of legendary architect Sir Christopher Wren.
Built after the Great Fire of London, Wren's masterpiece was designed in the shape of a Latin cross and crowned with the magnificent dome that still dominates London's skyline today. More than 350 years later, it remains one of the capital's most recognisable landmarks and a symbol of London's resilience, history and architectural brilliance🇬🇧

The word misericord comes from the Latin misericordia, meaning pity or mercy. The choir stalls in the Abbey's Lady Chapel are decorated with beautifully-carved misericords - hinged oak seats which tip up to form a ledge on which the monks could lean for support while standing for long periods during services.
The carvings are often of non-religious subjects, such as this mermaid combing her hair and holding a large mirror, with rocks and coral for a background.

Sadiq Khan: ‘Brexit has cost Britain billions. It’s imperative we rejoin the EU’
Polls show that the number of people in favour of rejoining the European Union is growing. The mayor of London sees no sense in delaying the inevitable

@jameschappers@XtianDex At last somebody says it!
The EU is a pragmatic institution.
It knows over 80% of younger British voters are passionately pro-EU. It will be them who take us into the Euro, once the Brexiter generation has passed.
#RejoinEU 🇬🇧🇪🇺
Brexiteers constantly try to dismiss polls showing a clear majority of voters want to rejoin the EU by saying they’ll change their minds when it becomes clear the UK would have to join the euro and Schengen. Tonight Michel Barnier makes clear our old opt outs would be reinstated

My beard turned silver. I've grown it to mid chest. I can now sit in priority seats on buses without anyone asking me to stand. I'd definitely stand if asked but I've never been asked.
