This is false information, sensationalized nonsense. The data that's available actually shows that the primary prey species of snakehead in the estuaries of the Chesapeake have increased in numbers since the introduction of snakehead there. The part about them having no natural predators is also false. Just like any other big fish in these areas, they are regularly picked off by everything from birds of prey (Ospreys, eagles, blue herons, etc) to large catfish and bass, also mammals such as river otters. Studies also show that their numbers have decreased in the past few years and appear to be stabilizing, indicating that they have reached equilibrium and have successfully integrated into the ecosystems. Something most people don't think about is all of the other non-native fish species in these waters, such as the good old largemouth bass, and many more.
If you want to read up on an invasive species that is really causing problems do some research on the blue catfish. It was introduced on purpose as a game fish, but they are wreaking havoc on the ecosystems they inhabit. They eat anything and everything, non stop basically (despite popular belief, snakehead don't eat non stop). The difference is that the blue cat has a huge group tournament supporters and such, who lobby to spread a good name for said fish. Snakeheads don't, most people still see them as they the zombie fish they were feared to be early on.
All that is not to say that I support inducing non-native species anywhere, for any reason. All I'm saying is that there's a whole lot of misinformation out there about snakeheads. They are in fact some of the best eating fish you'll find in freshwater though, so I hope they didn't go to waste, cheers!
I've been in fusion for years now, I'm comfortable in it, but also think maybe I'm too comfortable. SW is on sale for $25, is it worth the time to learn a new CAD?
What do you prefer and why? What do you design with what you use?
Look what else showed up on my porch this week. @Elegoo_Official#centauricarbon
Running the first print now. So far so good. I must say the slicer - Printer connection process is way better than the #AD5X so that's nice.
Got my @ff3dprinters#AD5X in good time
Working on a first impressions and later full review for this thing but so far I'm liking it. I do wish they hadn't removed the dark mode toggle from the slicer though ๐ญ๐ค
@properprinting@BambulabGlobal Very cool. I want to find some practical uses for my 1.8mm and 2.4mm nozzles.
Also you probably already know, looks like your PETg could use some time in the dehydrator ๐
@gunsnrosesgirl3 Catch it and make it my pet. That's an expensive morph of ball python. 100% it escaped from somebody enclosure. Honestly, it probably belongs to the person taking the video which is messed up.
I haven't been able to find the time to make the push to start really producing content yet, but as someone who regularly dabbles in various areas of the community I agree with your evaluation. I never go on twitch so I can't speak to that one. I seem to remember watching some streams on there a while ago and not liking something about it, but can't remember what it was so idk๐
