We are big fans of alternative #HousingJustice models such as co-ops, CLTs, and communities/tenants buying together! Our question is, can there also be a movement of just landlords and property management? #SubversiveEquity

Can there be an "adequate return" that is not getting filthy rich that allows rent to increase *slowly,* reduce tenant turnover (which is expensive), and allow mutual thriving? We believe it is possible. #SubversiveEquity

The entirety of Paris, Barcelona, and Manhattan can all fit inside the land dedicated to surface parking in Los Angeles County (101 sq. mi). If all the surface parking lots in the county were converted, you would house an additional 5.85 million people, a 58% increase.

The landlord wanted to evict for past due rent, now that CA protections for nonpayment have expired. Renters are still protected for nonpayment thru March 30, if they apply to rent relief...🧵
