Hi #RadTwitter!

I’m Nima, an ECFMG-certified IMG and postdoctoral researcher at @PennRadiology, where I study diffusion MRI and tractography in brain tumors.

Excited to be applying for Diagnostic Radiology in #Match2027

Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing online video games 🎮, board games 🎲, and exploring Philly.

Looking forward to connecting with fellow applicants, residents, and mentors this season!

Our latest work in the lab is out now!

The goal is to better understand the underlying mechanisms of microstructural brain changes following traumatic brain injury using large animal models.

Thank you team @DiCIPHR

PIGSKIN is now published in AI in Neuroscience. Our paper uses synthetic images and neural networks for automatic pig MRI skull stripping in preclinical neuroimaging. Congrats @JDadashkarimi , Drew Parker, @Ragini__Verma , and team.

Closing out an amazing #RSNA26! Honored to earn the Trainee Research Prize and present two oral talks. Even the blizzard couldn’t take away Chicago’s beauty. Loved the time with family, friends, and all the brilliant people I met. Can’t wait for the next year!

@SenatorDurbin Thank you, Senator.
LEGAL immigration speaks for itself. It exists within the framework of the law and is an essential part of what enriches the society. By welcoming individuals who contribute and help communities flourish. There should be no restrictions on legal immigration.

[Nima Broomand, MD @Subzero955]

@JudiciaryDems I work on advanced neuroimaging for neurosurgical planning of brain tumors, helping surgeons operate more safely and preserve critical brain function. I am here to contribute to the U.S. healthcare, and pauses in legal immigration pathways directly prevent me from doing that.
